The 5 ton lithium battery electric locomotive is shown in our latest underground metal mine operation video, demonstrating stable power, long battery life, and efficient hauling performance.

This locomotive uses two 7.5 kW DC traction motors and a chopper speed control system, enabling smooth and responsive operation. Its hauling capacity reaches about 40 tons, making it ideal for medium-scale and heavy-duty underground transport tasks.

One of its biggest advantages is the lithium battery system. Lithium batteries have a long service life and support “charge anytime” operation, which greatly improves uptime. A full charge takes only 3 to 6 hours, far faster than traditional lead-acid batteries. This shorter charging time helps mines maintain continuous productivity and reduce downtime.

The 5 ton locomotive supports 600 mm, 762 mm, and 900 mm track gauges, and it can also be customized. The narrowest optional gauge is 500 mm, providing flexibility for different tunnel layouts and mining conditions.
